hello all!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Brand new. Have been around chickens a little throughout life but never responsible for care/maintenance

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
9 chicks and 1 duckling

(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Barred Rock Pullets
2 red Rock cross with ? Pullets (1 didn’t make it)
3 Wyandottes
3 Welsummer
2 Rouen ducks (1 didn’t make it)


(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Primary reason I wanted them is for compost/garden assistants, but also love grass based eggs

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, fishing

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Empty nester, 4 dogs who rescued us, 2 inside cats and varying visiting feral cats, tons of wild raccoons and feral hogs

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Found on google, searching for reasons why I have lost two babies, joined because of the quantity of information
