New tail feathers or an odd growth?

So I was drying off my week old pekin duckling, when I noticed some a little odd growing on her skin just above her tail feathers

(she refused to sit still while I was drying her so the photo is pretty blurry)
It's a bump on her skin with these little yellow things (they almost look like plasticky) protruding from it

It's the preen gland. Nothing to worry about. Freaked me out the first time I found one too!

A preen gland? Never heard of that, but thank goodness I was scared it was some kind of tumor

Yep, just the oil gland. If you gently rub it you will get oil on your finger.
