New Thermo/Humidity Reader Help

With that recipe, yes, you would certainly get a 'solution' not a paste.

What is funny is that I thought I was following that recipe, but obviously I got the measurements backwards, which means I accidentally got it right!

My Taylor said 62% and my new hygro (unknown brand) said 75%. I decided to put them both in together, just to make sure conditions were the same. I did the same test the next day with a big sealed mason jar and got the same results.
