I also had one of them getting some poo dried on the vent? I used a soft cloth and dabbed warm water on it until it came off. Then I dried her little rear as much as possible. Hope that was the correct thing to do? I did see her use the bathroom about a minute after i put her back in their pen but I figure I'll keep a close watch on her that it doesnt happen again. Did I read someone posted (on another persons thread) that i could put vaseline or a&d ointment on the area to keep it from sticking?

The chicks seem to have figured out how to scratch, should I put a little box of play sand in there for them to scratch in or is it far too early to do that?

They seem to want to play but I don't know what's age appropriate to give them. I put a mirror in the pen and they all seem to like to stand in front of it to admire themselves. LOL
