(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I grew up on a farm but had a 30+ year break in having chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

10 Red Stars and 6 Buff Orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs and having fun with my silly chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, canning, baking, crocheting, sewing, reading and spoiling my granddaughters.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have five rescue doggos, an elderly cat, and a very busy household. I work full time and I'm going to college full time to become an Inclusive Elementary teacher.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC shortly after getting my Red Star peeps a year and half ago. It had been quite some time since I'd raised chickens and wanted to research best practices.
