Perhaps. Mine don't seem to mind, but sure enough my Chinese managed to drown one of my Rouens just last week. It's not necessarily common but it definitely cna happen.

Hi QueenMisha...How tragic...How old were your ducks and geese?? I believe your right, it can happen..@ Geese and 1 duck grew up together in the brooder and are inseparable, My Khaki Campbell duck is one month older, and gets a hard time from the geese..They are extremely protective of the Rouen Duck..especially the female goose..All I can do is hope...I see the ducks seem to look like they're practicing holding their breaths under water...They are purposely putting their heads under water...When they are done doing this game, they scoot out from under the duck..I hope they are going to be ok...

Several years. Which admittedly shows that it is not common, as it took so long for to occur, but that it can happen. Best to keep a close eye on them.
