(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New to chickens; got my chicks at 2 days old; now they're 9 weeks old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
1 each of: Black Australorp, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Easter Egger
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I'm pretty new to this, but the fact that they're birds (I LOVE birds!) and the eggs and the compost
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hiking and backpacking--240 miles complete out of 800 on the Arizona Trail
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Engineer in urban Phoenix, have had parakeets in the past and really want to get more pet birds soon. My chickens will be pets more than they probably should be
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google searching and the local feed store recommended your site as well
