Howdy y'all!

I'm a 30-something, wife and mother to 4 (plus 2 dogs). :) Looking to connect with other chicken newbies, and learn the tricks and what not from the more experienced folks!
I like to bake, homeschool, read, and play video games.... :)
If you have recommendations on breeds that can withstand cold as well as a bit of heat, let me know! We're in the NE so we tend to get all kinds of weather here.

Welcome here Momma . There is a home bakers thread you'll see here too besides learning about chickens :D . Birds with big combs get frostbite easier so I'd stay away from those. Look for cold hardy breeds such as Rhode Island Reds, Orpingtons? Are they going to be mostly for eggs? I've got Sussex, Rhode I Reds , and Red sex links here and have had good luck.
