Good day all, I would like to introduce myself.
I am new to chicken raising but have a friend and co-worker who does it so will be asking her lots of questions. She is the one the mentioned backyardchickens.com.
I am wanting to raise chickens for both eggs as well as meet. I am allowed to have 10 chickens so I was thinking 5 for eggs and 5 for meat. I am a pastor of a church and am conscious of the needs of the poor so thought this might be a way to help. I also have another family in the church who is interested in doing this, for the same reasons.
