New to Backyard chickens

Hi I am new to this site. I am from the Rockport and Port Lavaca, Texas area. Hoping to learn from each of you. Started with three small chickens and a Bantam rooster about 1 year ago. So far good-learned a lot from each of them. I am hoping to find some layers that would become brooders in the spring. Dee

If you are looking for local birds, you could try posting in your state thread, know your state is huge but maybe somebody isn't that far away. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/44/texas The local Craigslist and Feed Store bulletin boards are other good places to check locally for layers.
