New to BYC! 😄🐔🐓🐣🐤🐥

Thank you for the welcome! And that's great small world! Yay AZ! 😄🎉 have your girls made it through the summer OK?

I've been working with the Naked Neck breed for a couple of year's now, and they handle our heat better than some of the other breed's. They have less feathering on the bodies along with the neck's, so I guess that's what help's them. I noticed the waterer that you are using. You will find that you are going to have to clean that kind out allot, because in the summer, algae will grow like crazy in them with our heat.

They could probably use a fan too!😉 I have a barn fan for mine in the summer and I live in Minnesota.😀
Yes we were thinking of doing the same probably later this month. It's only in the low 80s here now for the high, thankfully. We were also planning on doing misters in one area of the coop. 😄👍🤞 I'm sure your girls love it up there nice and cool!

That's cool I've seen those before! They probably love not having as many feathers as other chickens. Good to know I haven't gotten there yet I already clean it quite a bit since the girls love throwing dirt in drinking part of the waterer! Ill have to look up some anti algae waterers i did not even think of that. 😄🤔 all my girls were born in November so this will be their first summer.
