New to BYC and raising Hens

Hi Wyandottes7 - Thanks for the welcome and I too think I will enjoy my new chicks they are like 5 weeks old and love the new pen. They spent most of the day picking in the grass I look forward to them being big enough to roam free during the daytime. Have a few gaps in the privacy fence so want to make sure they can't get loose. Take care

Good luck with your Rhode Island Red chicks! They should grow into excellent layers for you.

Rhode island reds are great layers around 5-6 eggs a week also great for familys and for meat hope you enjoy them there lots of fun
