Hi,
I received a chick in early June 2015 because she (at least were very sure she is a pullet!) was born with a leg bent backwards very far. We got permission from our apartment manager to have her! Yes she is on our back porch. We made our 4'x4' raised garden into her fenced run and a little dog house into her coop. She is an only bird, other than her "sister" a mirror we have in her coop with her so she doesn't feel too lonely. We call her reflection pal Flow lol.
Between the person who hatched her and myself lots of physical therapy happened and her leg corrected it's self. Neither my husband nor myself have ever had chickens, we have learned a lot and can not wait to get a house so we can get more chickens! People were not kidding about how much of an addiction they are (and were only a few months in!)!
