Hello everyone! I am so excited to be a part of this group! Truth be told, I have been using this site for chicken advice for the last 12 months as I prepared to bring home chickens and for all "the firsts" after they arrived. I finally decided it is time to join "officially". HUGE Thank you to everyone who contributes.... you have made the last 9 months of my life easier than it would have been otherwise!
We have a small flock of 4 (2 Cukoo Marans and 2 Barnvelders). We live in an HoA and are not allowed roosters. I have only been keeping chickens since February...so we are 9 months into this adventure. To be honest, I didn't realize how attached I would become to these 4 little ladies! My family enjoys having fresh eggs but I enjoy their company more than anything in the world! I love everything about them!
