Hi there, I am from Boise Idaho. This is my third year with chickens. I have 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Golden sex link, 1 Ameraucauna(?), 1 Barred rock, and we just traded out beautiful Barred Rooster for a Brahma... Lots of love. We are raising them for eggs, and pest control. Happy to be part of the Forum.

Hi there, from Libby, Montana! I'm new to the whole chicken scene. Raising 5 chicks for my first flock, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Black Barred Rock, and 3 Buff Orpingtons. So far, I'm loving it!We started thinking about getting chickens for eggs and later meat, then our landlord brought us the 3 Buffs out of the blue for our insect/spider problems. We added the other two just a few days later. Glad to see there is alot of people with experience here!

If you happen to have any tips on raising and other such knowledge, I'd love to hear it!
