Hey yall. I'm buying a house that already has a chicken coop and 16 chickens. I've never raised chickens before so this will be an interesting way to start. The flock currently seems healthy and are producing eggs.
First thing on my list to do is making sure I have feed, clean water and a clean coop.
Second thing on my list to do is cover the existing chicken run. Since we are going into a wet season I want to make sure I keep the run clean and dry for them.
Third is to build a new coop. The current one is in disrepair and kinda small for 16 chickens. It only has 4 nesting boxes which aren't even covered. I've seen some great coops on here I'm going to try to build.
Is there anything else yall could suggest for someone just starting off?
Thanks
