My name here pretty much describes me. I usually hatch something every spring for friends and love it! I don't own any kind of poulrty or waterfowl. I live in the city now but grew up on an acreage.
Over the years I've hatched turkey, pheasant, quail, chickens, ducks. I don't think I left anything out. I've had hatches with great results some not so great. I think quail is my favorite thing to hatched so far. I now have 2 hovabators one for incubating and one for hatching. I use my old one for hatching and the new one I just got last year, never used until now. It's a 1583 forced air. My old one (hatching one) is a 1602N still air.
At the moment, I have 8 pekin duck eggs I just put in the hatcher today, to make room for the 40 barnyard mixed chicken eggs in the incubator with automatic turner.
I have a yorkie, 2 cockatiels a hubby and 2 children.
I think that about covers it.
I just found BYC and love looking at the pictures and reading all the info this great sight has to offer.
