new to BYC from the only oblong illinois

Hi ya'll im from southern illinois and also new to chickens just bout 14 chicks yesterday at rural king i bought 7 barred rocks and 7 silver laced wyondottes i had been researching chickens for a while and these two breads i knew i wanted not saying i wont want more in the future i think it would b neat to have some rare breeds on down the road. i am converting what use to be a lil shed into my coop. have the lil chicks under an infrared heat lamp in the garage now.
