Hi,
I'm 61 years of age, and have been breeding and raising chickens for the most of the last 40 years. I have 110+ young birds in my flock of Dark Asil Games. Even back when Oriental games were unpopular, I have had them. Their spirit, history and friendliness to humans inspires me. Trying at the present to get our farm NPIP certified. If you don't know what that means, be sure to Google it.
Besides being a bird nut, I like to fish(catch and release). I am a retired nurseryman and farmer, so I wore many hats in my career. I am newly married and my wife is retired from retail management.
My wife and I plan to add miniature goats and maybe a new guard dog to our mini-farm, Adding to our affectionate Lily(a mini-daushound) and the twins kittens(Monkey & Big) and Susy, the meanest-tempered calico, you will ever come across.
Thanks, Jim and Tammy

Welcome to BYC!
What state are you in?
Unfortunately there's a shortage on the PT antigen right now... What's needed in every state to become a National Poultry Improvement Plan member... So you may be waiting for a while.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Very nice intro! Sounds like you have a fabulous farm going on there. Goats are a riot, I kept Pygmies for a while, super fun and entertaining.

Make yourself at home here and welcome to our community! :)
