New to BYC... New to chickens period!

Hello everyone
So we have finally managed to break free from the city and moved into a small rural community with a half acre lot and are able to start our dream of raising chickens

A little trickier here in Southern Ontario Canada. Our weather can be unpredictable!

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
The coop and run that I built would work well in your climate too as I am in NY. It is a converted shed with a large fully predator proof run with solid roof attached. In the winter, I install reinforced clear tarps around the exterior of the run to block the wind. It gives the chickens plenty of space to spend those long winter days.
