Farmergal, I haven't seen him try to mount them at all. Just crash into them and peck at them. At any rate, he'll be dinner soon. No roosters allowed in our city

well dinner, solves that problem. But yes, a rooster can hurt and kill hens especially if not enough hens to share whoopee with. A rooster can take care of 10 hens .

I'll be butchering the rooster tonight, and on the good side, my wife sent me out to get two more hens to replace him... I think I just experienced my first chicken math
