Thank you gander007. It looks really rough now...but I want to make it really a safe happy place. I'm going to do a very simple fence off on the other side of the back yard so they can get in the grass area too when I'm out with them.

I can just picture them sitting on that galvanized garbage can - so they can look in your window and keep an eye on you. I think the obstacles will just make for a more interesting run.

Looks like a very nice place for a couple of chickens! Get it all predator proofed up and you should be able to keep a nice flock of chickens out there.
