Hi Everyone!! I'm new to BYC I started my flock a little over a year ago and loving it!! I have Buff Orpingtons and Black Australopes. I have a total of 30 birds with more on the way. I recently purchased some Delawares so I'm excited to see how they fair with the extreme North Dakota temperatures. From my understanding they will do just fine! I also just started a month ago hatching my own chicks!! I was so excited when the first baby hatched!! I gave them away to my brother so I'm excited to watch them grow and see how some of them turn out being a cross of a Black Australope rooster and Buff Orpington hens.

A little more about myself I work full time in town plus come home and run full time hours on the our farm. We have 38 Black Angus/Simmental cross cattle, 6 horses, 6 dogs (4 cattle dogs, 1 Corgi, and 1 chocolate lab), and 2 cats. My husband and I have 2 daughters that are in middle school soon to be high school.

Oh how time flies!!

We love to hunt, fish, camp, and just be with family and friends. We train horses in our spare time and love to shoot clay pigeons with our girls.

Everyday life is a new adventure so we take it in stride and make the best of it. Life's riches are not counted in how much money a person has but the memories and accomplishments that make you who you are inside.

Welcome to BYC - it sounds as if you have a well rounded life and a very good attitude as to what constitutes a 'good' life.

Hi and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard. Thats a very nice introduction you have given us and i agree with your sentiments 100%. Make yourself at home, and enjoy all the chicken talk.
