Hello All,
I just recently subscribed to BYC, I've had my "girls"(3 Golden Comets, 1 Buff Orpington, and 1 Ameraucana) for 3 years. I started out with 8 but lost 3 to various accidents with the Chicken tractor that I had them in. I have 9 new Chicks in a brooder that I received from my daughter-in-law's Kindergarten class, they hatched the eggs for a class project. It looks as though I have 7 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Barred Rocks that I will be adding to the flock. I am also currently incubating 9 duck eggs(4 Jumbo Peking and 5 Buff Orpingtons) all of which have veins and movement hatching days begin in 3 days!!! I have converted a shed on my property to a coop with a much bigger run and coop space to prepare for the chickens and will use the tractor now for my ducks if they hatch. My other hobbies are woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening... I decided to become a member finally with all the new add-ins and appreciate all the information that I have been able to find on this site..

:welcome

Hi, congrats on the expanding flock! In addition to all the chicken and duck chatter, there are a lot of gardeners here (you'll find gardening under the Hobbies forum).

Make yourself at home and best wishes for a good hatch! :jumpy
