Hi, I am new to BYC, but not new to chickens by far. I have had purebred breeds all my life, but mostly down the line of heavy breed brown egg layers. My wife and I have no children left at home. They have all flown the coop so to speak, but our grandchildren still love the animals and I like to keep their interest in that direction. We now have a small flock of a dozen Millie Fleur Cochin bantams which are multiplying like rabbits. lol I also just ordered a dozen Blue Wheaten Ameraucana hatching eggs that I placed under one of our setting hens as of yesterday. Last night I picked up what I thought were Black Sex Link pullets from Tractor Supply, but today not sure what they are. The employees tend not to be highly educated on what they are selling or keeping track of the breeds when placing them in the tubs. I am going to upload some photos to see if anyone is familiar with the looks of these chicks. Besides, chickens we have a handful of milking Nubian goats, lots of rabbits and a beautiful pair of Saint Bernards. Looking forward to reading your comments and learning from your experiences. We all can learn the do's and don'ts from each other and the day we think we know it all it's time to get out of chickens and find another hobby. Thank you for adding me to this forum. Goatman63
