Hi all, well we've looked at some fab chook dwellings on Pinterest which ultimately come from here so thought might aswell join the flock. We're giving it a go at keeping chickens again after a disaster many moons ago from not changing the timer on the auto door which left the chooks locked out and mr fox took advantage. After many years of remorse were having another go and have hopefully learned from our mistakes last time.

We've got 4 Lohmann Browns, Teresa, Bean, BoJo and Milson, all have started laying in the last couple of weeks and our youngest was amazed with couple of double yolkers, only had 2 though.

Weve adopted some ideas sen of the forums.for entertaining the girls they have an outdoor perch and we give then some drinks bottles with holes in which we part fill with corn which they like for their pre bedtime treat. The latest addition today was a xylophone which had initial interest but nothing else.

Weve found they aren't interested in cabbage on a string or sprouts and tomatoes on a wire but they do like iceberg lettuce and when they've been in the garden they love the lettuce we were growing.

We have a kids shed going spare so that's going to become their new home but I've got a fair bit of work to do on it to make it habitable news on that to follow as it progresses.

Thanks to all in advance for your help and sorry for waffling on above....
