Hello, my name is Lucille, my nickname is Cille.

I have raised chickens for a few years and know almost all the ins and outs of raising chickens, so few things surprise me.
Currently I have 6 chickens, all hens, no roosters allowed in city limits. I have 3 Americanus, 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, 1 Production Red and one Golden Queen. Thay are all between 8 and 9 months old and are all laying.

Of course the all have names. Adama, Allie, and Anya Americans, Wynette Wyandotte, Little Red Ridding Hood and Goldilocks.

I learned about BYC years ago when I started raising chickens and all the questions I had were already answered already so I didn't need to ask. I just read a lot of posts and learned tons of information.

I'd like to thank every one for their shared experiences.

Now I have a question, that I'm not sure has been answered.

I'm going to ask the question here, then post it in the forum.

My Wynette Wyandotte is an egg laying machine. She has layed every day for the past 10 days. Today I found 2 of her eggs. One in her usual spot in the coop and 1 in the back yard by the fence. I know it was not there yesterday, because I picked up all the eggs I found there. This would mean that she layed 2 eggs in a 24 hour period! Is that possible? I know for sure it is her because of the dark brown pinkish hue color shell of her eggs. The others lay blueish-green, cream or light brown shelled eggs.

Has anyone ever had a chicken that has layed more than 1 egg in a day?

Thanks,
Cille
