Hello all! I am so excited to learn more and get questions answered as well! I am in Tennessee and have 8!
I am wondering the best way to get rid of possible fleas or mites? I ordered stuff for a dust bath but what about the coop? I will clean it out and then clean it, what should I put in it to keep the bugs away? I will clean the chickens too! They are missing feathers!

Welcome to BYC. Permethrin spray will work in your coop and nests without harming your birds. You can find it at tractor supply or walmart in equine section. Use with caution around cats.

Hi there - In the past I've had good luck with Gordon's Permethrin 10 Livestock and Premise Spray when it came to mites or Gordon's Poultry Dust - we adopted some hens with a bad mite problem, and it really helped.
