New to BYC

I've been keeping chickens in the gardens for a year. Currently have 5 Rhode Islands, 4 Orpingtons, 2 Marans, one ice cream bar bantam. All very decent layers who live in luxury.
Live in the city with big garden a dedicated area for the chooks to run around happily. They are friendly, except when broody, - we give them eggs to hatch and have individual personalities. Hard to imagine life without them now. Kids love them too.
Welcome from NM.

I've posted pic of an ICB, not mine I'm afraid she's (Squawky) quite nervous and doesn't like her photo taken. They're a cross between a Swedish Isbar and Cream Legbar. Small eggs but good layer in season. A third of the size of my big Orpys but has a lot of fight in her!! No one messes with Squawky!)
