My wife and I just recently bought 12 chickens from TSC. 3 red sex links, 3 black sex links, 3 tetra tints and 3 Jersey giants. They are just now about 4 1/2 months old. I built them a very nice coop with an attached run area, giving them about 12 sq feet per chicken in the run. (I will post photos later when I figure out how). Anyway we are very new but are learning every day. Just found out one of the Jersey giants (and they are huge so far) is a rooster, so seeing how that works out...I want a rooster, but my wife thinks he is kinda mean (which I think perhaps is true as well), anyway....hopefully we can get the advice we need from all of you with experience!
