New to BYC

Hello!!! I'm excited I've found this site, it's so helpful! My bf got a few chickens a couple years ago... He doesn't remember what kind they are though lol they look to me like Rhode Island reds (that's Wilma in the pic). Anyways, in a few weeks I will be going to my first auction and getting a few more chickens and ducks can't wait

Sourland X2 on the quarantine. Since you don't know the conditions these birds are coming from, you don't want to endanger your original flock

Check birds over well before buying, sometimes unscrupulous sellers will offer sick birds or those with defects that a newby may not notice., crooked beaks, curled up toes, etc.
