Hi everyone! We just had a dozen eggs arrive and we are eagerly waiting for the chicks to join the world. We've never had chicks before and it's something we have discussed for almost a year now. My neighbor introduced me to this sight and said we can get a lot of information and stories from wonderful people here. So we are excited! Please wish us luck and any information on egg hatching and chick care is definitely welcomed.

Welcome to BYC!

Hatching eggs is very egg-citing! It still amazes me to watch an egg turn into a small chick. If you need tips on incubation and raising chicks, stop by our learning center for some great articles on both of these subjects and a lot more. All the aspects of keeping poultry...

Good luck with your hatch! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with the incubation! Yes, hatching is quite addictive. TwoCrows gave you some great links to get you started, hope you wind up with lots of chicks.

Great sites! Thank you. My daughters and I have been reading the info together.

Yikes...had to leave the house today and came back to the incubator registering the humidity at 33 and temp at 100. We've had these little eggs less than a week. Does this spell doom? I'm so worried.
