new to byc

Me and my girls picked a bunch of different varieties...wyandote, barred rock, rhode island red, sussex, braham, and easter egger. and one rooster, a jersey giant. I've read they are all cold tolerant and with the winter we had this year they need to be!
I have much the same birds as you, or will have when they come the end of the month.
3 Red Laced Wyandotts's; 2 Barred Rock; 2 Buff Orpington; 4 Speckled Sussex; 5 Dark Brahma Bantam boys & 2 Dark Brahma Bantam girls; 1 white something; 7 Production Reds; 2 Black Jersey Giant boys; 2 White Silkie boys & 3 White Silkie girls; 3 streight run Silver Laced Wyandotte's; 4 streight run mystery bantams;
AND pullets coming in the mail...
5 Cuckoo Marans; 5 Easter Eggers; and 5 Black Sex Links

I'm not the 'crazy cat lady', I'm the 'crazy chicken lady'.

Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! The learning center as well as the forum should answer your questions! There is always something new to learn! Glad to have you here! See you around with the flock.

thanks for all the welcomes! the meeting went well but they were not making a decision until after all other cases were heard, and with it being Good Friday I have to wait until Monday to find out the answer. Keeping my fingers crossed and thinking positive thoughts! Who can say no to this beautiful boy!
