Glad you joined us! Good on you for saving that poor chicken! How is he doing now? Once he's completely healed up you should look into getting him some chicken friends for company. Chickens do much better with company of their own kind.

You have some very good dual purpose chickens. I've had all of those breeds at one time or another over the years and currently have some Buff Orpingtons and Black Sex Links in my own flock. Are your sex links Black Sex Links or Red Sex Links?

I've raised Black Sex Links for years and they are my favorite hens; hardy and friendly, egg laying machines.
