In the Brooder
Hello Everyone, Matt and Danielle here, we are new to BYC, from Boynton Beach, FL. Nice to meet everyone!
I started with chickens when i was a little kid but my girlfriend is new to the whole chicken thing. A friend of ours in Texas started us out with a few of his birds and ever since then we have grown into loving these animals and keep growing and adding to our addition every day. Right now we have 2 roosters, and 10 hens. We also have several chicks. Our birds are game fowl and easter eggers.
I am on BYC everyday checking out what everyone has for chickens, what people are selling, ideas for building our coop bigger, and just looking at all of the beautiful birds everyone has and cares so much for. I even got my girlfriend hooked on BYC. I am a commercial fisherman, but starting to get more into chickens. We also have egg laying ducks, and a 4 month old hog named Tink.
Our chocolate lab loves playing with the pig, running around the yard, and chasing after the soccer ball. Costa, our dog, is also very good with the chicks and chickens. He hangs out in the pen with us, while we are in there and whenever he wants to hang out with them. They all grew up together so they walk around together, they must think he is a really big chicken!
