I've read forums here more times than I can count, so I decided I should probably just join! We live in Missouri and have fifteen 6 week old chicks. We've got 2 Favorelle pullets, 2 d'Uccle banties (not sure if 2 pullets or one of each), a couple black copper marans, a couple Easter Eggers, a red Cochin pullet, what I think is a buff Orpington, and a couple of red/brown pullets which I don't know the breed of. My mother-in-law brought us 12 in addition to the ones I purchased, so breeds and sexes are still iffy. We're first-time chicken owners, so we're learning. We love them so far though!! Thanks for letting me join your community!
 
Welcome to BYC, when your chicks get older you can post photos at "what breed or gender is this," in hopes of identifying them. We wouldn't mind taking a look at them either.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :o) You have a nice mix of gentle, docile breeds. Faverolles, Cochins, and Buff Orpingtons make great lap pets. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.
