New to canning

Hello,

I am new to canning (Well I used to watch my mom make pickles)but would like to try to can tomatoes, beans and try my hand at pickles.

Any and all recipes, thoughts and suggestions welcome.

Do you have a hot water bath canner or pressure canner? There are certain foods that must be pressure canned and others that can be canned in a hot water bath. If possible pick up a copy of this book:

I found one at a lawn sale!

Do you have someone that could mentor you? I took a class and it was so worth it!

eta: It is not difficult, but if done improperly it could be dangerous... (that sounds scarier than it actually is)
