Hi from Monticello Georgia! I'm new to having chickens. Raised three RIR (two hens, one rooster) in brooder and now they are 10 weeks old. Just put in two more hens 7 weeks old that are buffs. Put them in coup tonight and no noise....but I'm worried about in the morning......

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Hopefully there won't be a bad fight in the morning. Sometimes new chickens will be treated as old if introduced at night when they can't see what's going on. But do expect there to be lots of fights to establish the new pecking order. If it doesn't work, try using the see but don't touch method. It works very well! https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/introducing-new-chickens-using-the-see-but-don-t-touch-method

Help! My rrr hen has been laying so well for 8 months and today she produced the smallest egg I've ever seen. She has two buff sisters when lay HUGE eggs. The rrr has has laid smaller eggs than the buffs but this is about two sizes up from a jelly bean! Does anyone know what might be wrong?
