Hey! New to the site, and new to chickens. One of my coworkers talked me into it after my kiddos spent time with her flock. We now have 1 spoiled chicken on our hands, and they want more......lol.

Thanks for the info. I don't know ANYTHING except the small amount I've gotten from my coworker. I was hesitant to buy more because of my lack of knowledge. I'm building a coop tomorrow as the one we have is just PVC pipe and chicken wire that we got from her. She never mentioned getting more than one. Glad I came here.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I'm glad you decided to keep your own chickens! Looks like your kids are really enjoying your flock. Good luck with this new adventure and welcome to this community. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loved our chickens and made lap pets of the calmer and more gentle breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting more chickens.

Chicken math Lol. I hear that's how this all works.
