We have talked about raising chickens for years but this past spring break we did it. We bought the material to build the coop and just started! Yea!! We are all very excited.

2 of our 8 came in early and I am nervous since the other new chick won't be here until next week Thursday. Can any one tell me if this is going to be a big problem in the brooder box have a difference of a week in ages of chicks?

Probably not with such a small number of chicks, especially since the bigs will be outnumbered by the smalls. Just keep and eye of them for the first few days.

We have one big, two small. The big one sometimes pecks a little, but is usually wary of doing so in the face of two younger, more mobile chickens which are almost larger than she is. :p
