New to Chicken Wrangling

Hi and welcome :welcome :frow:frow

Where / what is 'NC' in where you are from - sorry I get very confused with all the US abbreviations!
North Caroline - if you look at a US map. it's on the Atlantic Coast, about halfway between New York City and the bottom of the Florida peninsula.
Hello from Maryland (between NY and NC, also on the coast) ... to both (and ALL) of you!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Hatched my first chickens June 23rd

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

5- 2 are 10 weeks and 3 are 4 weeks

(3) What breeds do you have?

Leghorns..... I think! I have a new thread with pictures asking for help.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Ran across it online while looking for info NUMEROUS times

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening, cooking, and reading

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Mom of 3 (21,19, and a toddler!!) Grandmother to 1 and she is 1 month older than my toddler! I've been a nurse for 13 years but I'm staying home with my toddler and watching my grandbaby everyday.... Thus began our foray into chicken life.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

Everytime I looked something up I was lead to this site and the wealth of good info here.
I joined because thecommunity is so friendly and responsive.
welcome! I hope you enjoy this site and LOVE your chickens! let me know if you need help with anything! your family sounds Awesome!:welcome:wee

I think I need to keep a map open on my tabs so I can look up - I'll go check out a map for Maryland!) It's funny as a teenager / youngster I was not interested in visiting the US compared to Europe / Asia etc as in my head it was LA and New York and I'm not a city person but now I want to come and visit all the amazing countryside you guys have!
