Ive got white japanese bantams 11 hens and 1 rooster and id like to know hows come only 2 of them are laying every other day?

Hi there, and welcome to BYC!

Some birds are going thru a molt this time of year and this will clamp off the eggs. Also the low light of winter will slow or stop the eggs all together. Some people add extra light to the coop to stimulate the egg laying.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! X2 what TwoCrows said. Also, they are bantams, most bantams people keep and breed them more because they are pretty rather than for high egg production, they just don't lay that many eggs compared to many standard breeds. Short day length is probably the primary factor reducing your egg production. As others have said, your birds have been selected more for 'pretty' than for egg production.
