Good morning all! I've wanted to start chickens for years and dabbled on this site a bit here and there. Until now, we weren't ready to pull the trigger, but we're finally putting down our permanent roots and I'm here to learn all the things! I hope to start asap, this spring!

You've come to the right place to learn. Spend lots of time reading articles on the subjects that interest you as well as the comments on those articles. Read through threads. You will learn so much before you ever get your chickens. But experience is what will teach you the most. Enjoy!
 
Yes, I'm here to absorb as much as I can. What are chicken goals, or are you referring to my goals with this site?

My chicken goals:

Fluffy pretty chickens
lots of delicious, almost free range eggs
Coop/tractor pros/cons
First farm animals for our new big farm!

Yes. I've actually been here previously and had to ban myself because I found I was SO engrossed in it. Can't wait to apply my knowledge!
