New to chickening. What might I be missing?

Clear roofing is one of those "Climate matters" things.

It's great for people in cool climates who need to maximize sunshine. In my climate it turns the chicken housing into a chicken rotisserie

Amen to that! I took off one of the tarps I had on the run over the winter, and am amazed at how much light they didn't have.

I'm going to be putting clear roofing panels on soon, but will keep a tarp handy if I need it to cut down the light/heat.
