new to chickenlandia but loving every second!

Hi everyone

Just wanted to say hi~

We are three ladies in a small town in coastal northern California who knew virtually nothing about chickens but decided to raise some hens in our backyard this spring ~ after much research, we picked up our chicks (supposed to be three... soon to be five) this Friday.

It was so much fun, we were there at the farm store first thing in the morning (eager beavers!) and got to help dip the beaks of 350 new arrivals into some vitamin water! I was glowing all day

Our Buff Orpington, Americauna, Speckled Sussex and Barred Rock are happy and healthy so far thanks to all the great information i've gotten on this forum

Now we just need to build our coop... and fast!

once I figure out how to post pics ill do so ~ I've got the cutest shot of our buff (the smartest and largest of the group) doing peep yoga poses/dance moves.

I just sold 15 chicks that I hatched out from my chickens and ordered 15 from our feed store so in chicken math that counts as 1

You are going to love having chickens. I cant imagine now not having them.
