Hello,

I am a new owner of 6 chickens. We live in Minnesota. Our brood lives in a tractor coop. My husband and I purchased the coop and then doctored it up to be portable. Our six hens, cross our fingers, are Dominiques, Easter Eggers, a Rhode Island Red, and a New Hampshire Red. Any advice on keeping a dog from eating the manure?

The only way to keep a dog from eating chicken manure is to keep the dog away from the manure. Good luck with that! Isn't it something how a dog is too picky to eat its food but will scarf up poop in a skinny minute?

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your new flock, hope they are all girls for you. X2, keeping the dog away from the manure is the only way to keep them from eating it.
