Fermented feed? I had 2 chickies die from bad food :-( luckily a local 4h poultry tester was able to figure we had bad food before any other girls got sick. It was very sad.

Yes, really. Fermented feed. My chickens love it. I take the chicken feed and throw some barley, wheat or other grain in with it, add some apple cider vinegar with the mother in it (explained on the fermenting feed for meat birds thread), add lots of water and stir. After two or three days (stir every day), it is ready to feed and the system is perpetual, You add more feed and water to what's left and it continues to ferment from the cultures already in the bucket.Fermented feed?
