Hi, I;m new to chickens and ducks and I am in real need of good advise. I was given 10 chickens 8 hens and 2 roosters. I think they were 3 months old when I got them so was able to put them out in the coop right away and they are all doing fine but my kids wanted ducks and easter eggers as they were called so I went to our local handware/ feedstore and got two baby ducks and two baby chicks. Babies are so hard to care for..

Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Yes, caring for those little peepers is a joy and yet a huge chore. Good luck with them.

I've attached some links you should be sure to check out.

Again welcome!

Welcome to BYC!

Yes, they do require a lot of time, but they do get easier as they grow into adult birds. Mountain Peeps has left you with some great links to follow for information. Definitely stop by our learning center for some good articles on caring for your new babies.

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!

Thank you for the feeds. They will come in handy. Ill be taking my baby ducks to the vet in the morning to have their feet and legs looked at. I am told that I could bind there little legs with something to help them walk but being so new I would rather a vet do it the first time or two. But I do have one question about one of my ducks. Unlike the other two she is walking but her feet are turned in to far they she walks on them and ends up falling on her face. Is there something that can be done about that?
