First time chicken owner as of this year. We started with 35 meat chickens but have fallen in love and now plan to get laying hens and different breeds in the spring.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Just two now. Ned our mystery rare breed and a random hen named Chum
(3) What breeds do you have?
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their personalities. It's been so much fun to watch them run around the yard and roll in dirt piles.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My hobby is collecting more hobbies
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I started a homestead this year and have ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, and turkeys. We dove in head first and have loved every second of it. Even on the not so fun days.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
After many Google questions and it always leading me here I realized it was a sign to join the community.
