New to chickens but already in love

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, I got them all about 3 weeks ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 bantam Cochins (both about 8 weeks old) and 4 Silkies (all about 3 weeks old).

(3) What breeds do you have?
Bantam Cochins and Silkies

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The entertainment of chicken TV and learning about these crazy creatures.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Soccer mom, Wife, Team Rubicon volunteer, Nurse, Dog mom, Gardener

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a wife and mom to a 9 year old son and 3 year old step daughter. I also have 3 dogs, all mixed with poodles they are a Soft Wheaten, Bernese Mountain Dog and St Bernard.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Every time I google anything this site pops up so I know it has lots of knowledge!
